This RACE-Approved eLearning module will be available on demand via Dechra Academy Canada beginning August 1, 2018. The module presents a comprehensive review of the diagnosis and treatment of Addison's disease. The program includes important background information on the pathophysiology of Addison's, followed by the multiple components of diagnosis, including predisposed breeds, historical clues, exam and laboratory findings, the differential diagnosis, and specific diagnostic tests. Treatment is then discussed, both the approach to the acute crisis as well as long-term control of the disease. Specialist videos, quizzes, and case examples are included throughout the course. A Certificate of Completion will be available for download upon completion of the course.

During this 2 Hour Workshop we learn the basic science, philosophy and practice of meditation with the intent to help develop a solid personal practice. A way of managing daily anxiety, pain, depression, physical ailments etc., along with improving physical, mental and emotional health. Learning to sit in ease, bring balance, concentration, strength and calm into your body. Discussion to incorporate the following:
• The causes of stress and compassion fatigue. i.e. Work, Home, Family etc.
• The physical effects of stress. i.e. Increased HR, BP, Cortisol, depression, anxiety, etc.
• The Fight or Flight Response
• Anatomy of the brain and how it effects our stress and physiological reactions
• What is Meditation vs Mindfulness?
• Who can meditate?
• Where can you meditate?
• Types of meditation i.e. Guided, Mantra, PMS, Visual etc.
• Tools needed for a personal practice
• Practical suggestions on how to incorporate meditation into your personal and professional daily life
