Ultrasonography and Embryo Transfer Workshops are being conducted in tandem with the intention of providing essential knowledge and hands-on experience for veterinary practitioners, research scientists and graduate students. Participants may register for one or both of the workshops. Participants will spend more than 30 hours in the laboratory developing their skills in ultrasonography, embryo collection and transfer, embryo evaluation and cryopreservation. SonoPath.com is hosting an ultrasound training wet lab in Vancouver, Canada the weekend of May 12-14th, 2017. This training is a SDEP Abdomen training which includes pathology lecture and extensive hands-on training.
We teach a 17point abdominal progression to obtain all the top views needed to optimize imaging, correctly diagnose, and make the right treatment decisions based on results. Upon completion of this 3-day course, our attendees will receive 22 CE credits, but more importantly will go home ready to implement their new skills immediately.

Wildlife patients present many challenges for the veterinary practice team in terms of identification, handling, assessing injury, treatment, captive housing to prevent further harm and feeding. As well, there are legal considerations and communication challenges with the public.
At the end of this session, the Veterinary Technologist will be able to answer the following questions:
What is it? How do I hold it? What do I feed it? How can I contain it? What do I do now?
Although this course is open to all members, it is geared towards the RVT.
